We Energies Port Washington Power Plant
With increasing demand for electricity and an aging, nearly outdated power plant facility in Port Washington, Wisconsin, We Energies decided to replace the old coal-fired plant with a new natural gas-fired plant.
Edgerton Contractors, Inc. was hired by We Energies to perform sitework to accommodate the new facility. Approximately 500,000 cubic yards of earth was moved to make room for a new access road and a new overflow channel for a small stream adjacent to the plant. Stormwater detention and conveyance facilities were also constructed.
