Milwaukee County Grounds Flood Control Project

To help protect landowners from flooding along the Menomonee River, the Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District contracted with Edgerton Contractors, Inc. to construct a large detention basin on the County Grounds in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin. Approximately 2.5 million cubic yards of soil was moved to create the basin while the fill was used in part to build a business park. The entire project was graded utilizing GPS equipped machinery, increasing productivity and minimizing the need for staking.
